AMP goes online
NATIONAL: AMP Capital Shopping Centres have launched a new look website for its Australian and New Zealand operations. The new site features an advanced CIP log in area allowing consumers access to news on special events, sales and promotions. AMP tenants include General Pants, Cotton On, French Connection, Jay Jay's, Jeans West and City Beach.

Online shine
SYDNEY: Australian jewellery brand Hardy Brothers has launched an online store, just weeks after it unveiled a new-look flagship site in Sydney. The initial e-tail offering will comprise of sterling silver collections with more categories expected to be released as demand grows. Oceans apart
NATIONAL: American footwear brand Ocean Minded has debuted its range of eco-friendly products in Australia. Priced at $39.95, the latest collection of sandals and flats is produced from a variety of natural materials including cork, hemp, leather, corduroy, canvas and suede. The footwear range will be available in select City Beach stores throughout Australia. Ocean Minded, which allocates a portion of its sales to assist various environmental organisations, was acquired by footwear giant Crocs in February 2007.

Forever in style
SYDNEY: European luxury brand Hermes is getting sentimental in the lead-up to Christmas. The apparel and accessory specialist has announced a permanent leather engraving service for its Australian flagship store in Elizabeth Street, Sydney. Hermes craftsman Franck Lequet will be available in-store to personalise and monogram small leather goods from this month onwards.

Camilla kicks off 
SYDNEY: Australia's self-proclaimed Queen of The Caftans has made the transition into retailing. Camilla Franks - whose collections of caftans, playsuits and dresses are stocked in premium boutiques and department stores throughout the world - has opened her first retail site in Sydney. The store, located along Warners Ave in Bondi Beach, launched with the designer's spring/summer 2007 collection.

Aussies Kong bound
NATIONAL: Sydney-based fashion agent Victoria Ugarte and TCFWA's Carol Hanlon are among a host of Australians expected to make the trek north to Hong Kong Fashion Week and World Boutique early next year. The pair, both of whom are past exhibitors at the event will be among more than 200 Australians attending the annual event. In all more than 230 exhibitors showcasing designer collections, branded fashion products, and accessories are expected to show at the two fairs held January 14 to 17.
