Gladragger
Tickled pink
Connie Hart, Ros O'Dell and Debbie Lazenby were all smiles as they attended the Pink Ribbon Breakfast at Sydney's MLC Centre recently. The TAFE NSW fashion trio was among a group of ragtraders who put their money (and their grumbling stomachs) to good use, raising much-needed funds for breast cancer research while munching on some delicious morning tea.
Birthday toast
They may not have been wearing the sponsor's product but the team from swimwear label Jamu very nearly drowned in alcohol during a company outing recently. In recognition of the label's birthday, the girls hit the Siana bar at Brisbane's Raparian Plaza just after 2.30pm with the celebrating continuing until well past the witching hour. Label founder Lydia Leong is pictured front right.
Strangers in the night
Designers and their customers exchanged more than just cash during The Strand's annual 'Evening with the Designers' night recently. The invite-only event saw Australia's leading designers showcase their spring/summer 2007 collections in front of an audience of more than 1500 guests, each of whom had the chance to meet and be styled by their chosen designer. Pictured is Fleur Wood, Faye Delanty, Donny Galella and Karen Tso.
Birthday bonus
Various sections of the ragtrade community put on their finest to attend fashion recruiter Liz Pearson's 50th birthday celebrations at the Stamford Hotel in Sydney's Double Bay last month. Pictured is fashion recruiter Amanda King (of Find Personnel) and Yvonne Pembroke (of Fashionwork) with the guest of honour.
Westfield wonder
Sydney's fashion VIPs came out in force last month when Westfield Bondi Junction was transformed into an international shopping destination. Hosted by celebrity model Anneliese Seubert and Australia's Next Top Model stylist Jonathan Pease (pictured), the event saw discerning shoppers treated to a showcase of fabulous food and sexy summer styling as each level of the centre was transformed to reflect a different city in the world's fashion hotspots.
