AFC boosts ranks
MELBOURNE: The Australian Fashion Council (AFC) is spreading its wings.
Less than two years after its inception, the council has found a permanant new home and three additional team members to staff it.
The move, to the Glassworks building in Melbourne's Collingwood, means the AFC will now be under the same roof as its parent group the Council of Textile and Fashion Industries of Australia (TFIA).
AFC managing director Zoe Edquist said the relocation now meant the AFC had much more room to play with, with the new space featuring a light-filled showroom as well as two "hot desks" available for use by its members.
The move coincides with the appointment of three new staff members including Deb Dalziel as advisory body project officer, Irina Karklina as account manager and Alix Edquist as administration and marketing manager.
The AFC can now be contacted on 03 8680 9400.
