NATIONAL: One in three women has never been properly fitted for a bra, a new survey by lingerie brand Berlei has shown.
The survey, conducted as the intimate garment celebrates its 100th year, also showed 80 per cent of Queensland women were wearing the wrong size of bra, compared with a national average of 66 per cent.
From a national perspective, two out of three women are wearing incorrectly fitting bras, the survey showed.
The news comes as Berlei concludes its 'Uplifting tour of Australia' promotion which saw the brand comandeer a bright red bus with a giant inflatable bra and take it to 29 rural towns and cities along the east coast to fit Australian women with the correct size bra.
The tour was supported with a national advertising campaign across TVC, website, radio and point-of-sale.
The 'Uplifting' tour finishes in Melbourne on November 29.
