NATIONAL: Serial product collaborator Stella McCartney has teed off on a new collection.
Fresh from its London Fashion Week debut, the adidas by Stella McCartney golf range is scheduled to drop into Australian retailers over February 2008. The new venture follows hot on the heels of McCartney's adidas Dance range, which launched in spring/summer 2007 and included retro, '80s inspired dancewear.
The golf collection, which attempts to "bring a bit of edge to golf", includes a performance apparel category and a selection of après looks for leisurely time spent off the green. Soft stretch fabrications and smart polo's are teamed back with Codura jackets, cropped trenches and nude trousers.
Footwear is also a key component of the range with the high-tech Garbato shoe offering waterproof technology and fine detailing such as embroidered eyelets and a removable kiltie tongue.
The golf range will be available from adidas Sport Performance stores and select David Jones outlets from next year.
