Adding a bit of sass
An equal measure of sass, style and suave were on display when more than 400 guests piled into a disused warehouse in Sydney's Alexandria to help sass & bide celebrate the launch of their eyewear collection. Inspired by the theme 'Little big land', guests walked down a hazy path of light pillars before finding themselves in a forest of life-size pop-up trees. Nibbles on offer included Peking duck pancakes, Atlantic salmon soba noodle boxes, miniature Moroccan lamb pies and fruit sorbet shots. Guests included Elsie Rowcliff and Chris Houston (pictured).
Way to wine down
A relatively relaxed schedule for Rosemount Australian Fashion Week's trans-seasonal offering offered buyers and delegates the perfect opportunity to afford a little pre and post show indulgence. Pictured indulging in the Rosemount VIP bar is Judi Hausmann, Colette Garnsey and Jacqui Moore.
Off and racing
The races came come early to Melbourne's Collins Street when the exquisite diamonds, shoes and hats for the spring racing season were put on display. The event, hosted by Peter Sheppard Footwear, featured millions of dollars of sparkling diamonds and precious jewels from Kosminsky Jewellers, millinery by Kim Fletcher and Serena Lindeman, fashion displays by Cactus Jam and hand-crafted pieces from Peter Sheppard Footwear. A panel of leading experts discussed trends with guests including Lillian Frank, Melanie Sheppard and Serena Lindeman.
More Charlie
Always keen to give back, high end designer Charlie Brown showcased her signature day and evening wear for a special cause recently. The event, staged as a breast cancer fundraiser, featured a moving talk by cancer ambassador Lynne Schinella. Pictured enjoying the festivities is the designer herself together with Victoria Morrish.
