Where's my Fendi?
International luxurywear label Fendi is well versed in the art of the tease. For its autumn/winter 2007/08 launch – staged in true al fresco style at the Nove Cucina restaurant in Woolloomooloo – the brand dangled the carat by flying in a selection of couture not currently available in Australia. Wooden crates branded with the Fendi logo showed off other key seasonal merchandise including its signature crystal belt, the 'To You' bag that folds into a clutch and its 13cm 'Cushion' heels. What's the time, Mr Cartier?
Cartier marketing and communications manager Frederic Coyac and shoe queen Terry Biviano (pictured) weren't keeping an eye on the time at the brand's recent Ballon Bleu watch launch. The accessories brand made sure a five star setting - at the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel in Sydney – and a cocktail list to match kept guests entertained.
Put the pieces together
Womenswear retailer Jigsaw wants its consumers to make informed choices. The brand recently staged a fashion trunk show to showcase its spring/summer 2007 collection; complete with advice from Madison magazine fashion director Fiona Lane and a heap of giveaways. Making a splash
Talk about perfect timing. Marinewear label Henri Lloyd recently launched its Hamilton Island concept store during one of the busiest – and from a brand building perspective, synergetic – periods of the year – Audi Hamilton Island Race Week. The Henri Lloyd sponsored event meant that customers streamed through doors daily, with sales reportedly forcing staff to re-stock the shelves twice a day.
