Oui, Oui

Designers, manufacturers and agents around the world are whipping out their berets in preparation for the biannual Pret-a-Porter trade show in Paris. Staged from September 6 to 9 at the Paris Expo Centre, the event will feature 65,000 sqm of exhibition space, 16 catwalk shows and 1500 fashion, accessory and lifestyle labels.

Australian and New Zealand designers who took part in the 2006 installment, including FashionAssassin (pictured), Bowie and Annah Stretton, are expecting organisers to roll out the red carpet this time around. Last year they were promised extensive media coverage and a prominent exhibition space - under a special Australian Design Focus - but received neither.
