All the fun of the fair
From August 12 to 14 the Melbourne edition of the Australian Shoe Fair (ASF) and Leather Bags and Accessories Fair (LBA) will host an abundance of new labels and debut exhibitors. Ragtrader offers a sneak preview of the top picks.
Monette
First time exhibitor Monette will utilize ASF to showcase a representative selection from its broad range of styles. With retail price points from $130 to $500 Monette ranges from footwear and handbags for career women to evening and dress shoes and casual ballerina flats.
Walnut
Walnut Melbourne will launch a debut children's footwear collection at ASF. Priced at $30 the colourful, functional line will launch with T-Bar and Cruise styles in a palette including Ballet Pink, Chilli Red, Apple Green, French Navy and Taupe.
Indy C
Newbie footwear and accessories label Indy C was developed by sisters in law Cindy and Lucy Tucker. Priced from $13 to $80 the label's key looks will include gladiator and roman style sandals and chunky hippie platforms and wedges, as well as "rantastic-plastic" accessories.
Rosie Roo
Wellie label Rosie Roo is launching at the fair with a range of glamorous upmarket waterproof footwear in polka dots, stripes, nautical colours and animal prints. Priced from $90 to $150 the boots come in ankle, mid-calf or knee-high versions
Spencer & Rutherford
For its first appearance at the fair, bag and accessories label
Spencer & Rutherford will showcase its signature ornate bags, as well as a range of all purpose "go anywhere bags" in response to the growing trend for larger functional bags. Prices range from $256 to $431.
Salt of the Earth
Priced from $200 to $350, handbag label Salt of the Earth is made from glossy oil leathers or pony skins in colours including American Beauty Red, Moroccan Blue, and Black Berry. LBA marks the official launch of the brand with the best-selling Caroline bag forming a centrepiece.
