Inspiration Abounds

Aspiring designers have been offered the chance to get their slippers under the bed of one of New Zealand's best known labels. Internationally-acclaimed designer Karen Walker has teamed with Air New Zealand to launch a second scholarship opportunity which will see the winner snag a fulltime salaried role as Walker's design assistant.

The scholarship includes a 12-month structured mentoring program and at least one international business trip with last year's winner accompanying Walker to New York Fashion Week. Significantly this year the opportunity will be extended to Kiwi residents and passport holders not only in New Zealand but around the globe. Applications close August 17.
