Alive and well

I am afraid I have to pour some rather cold water on your columnist, Fraser McEwing's comments on "the late Pierre Cardin" in your April 20, 2007 issue of Ragtrader titled "Moulade for Madam". He lives. He is now 84 and in fine fettle.
Mr Cardin is still a major force in international design and not only is he running a thriving fashion empire but with his ownership of Maxim's he has expanded the range of food and lifestyle products under the Maxims brand.
His purchase in recent years of the Marquis de Sade's chateau in the south west of France, has seen his emergence as a leading impresario, staging operas, ballets and concerts in the grounds of his chateau.
I would be grateful if you could let your readers know that Pierre Cardin lives and continues on a major scale.
