MELBOURNE: A recent sojourn to attend twice-annual directional forum Coterie in the US has paid big dividends for Melbourne womenswear label Cylk. The Abbotsford-headquartered label caught the attention of several prominent buyers at the event, securing orders with international department stores Henri Bendel (US) and Mitsukoshi (Japan). Other stores to place orders include New York's Carol & Co, Mitzi & Malosa and Veronica. Current domestic stockists include Husk, Cyberia, Della Spiga, Crimson Phoenix and Empire Rose. SYDNEY: Footwear distributor World Brands Management has added a new addition to its payroll. The Sydney-based company has appointed experienced marketer Tiffany Clark to the newly creative position of marketing coordinator. Tech talk
Social enterprise womenswear brand Taylor & Khoo has added jewellery to its mix of charitable products. As with all the brand's products all profit made from the jewellery line, dubbed New Beginnings Beginnings, will be used to support disadvantaged groups in Cambodia. The new range includes a selection of bracelets and necklaces made from recycled rubbish. Prices range from $19.95 for a necklace to $7.95 for a bracelet. Other products in the range include pop art purses made from recycled milk and fruit juice containers, shopping bags made from handwoven plastic bags and computer carry bags made from rubber tyres.
