NATIONAL: Leisurewear brand Canterbury International will launch a limited edition range later this month. Usually only available across the Northern Hemisphere market, the collection has been designed by the brand's London design team and draws inspiration from the Canterbury archives. Featuring acid brights as well as contemporary reinterpretations of time honoured stripes on its jerseys, the range also include vintage-inspired knits oxford dress shirts, cargos and boardies. PERTH: Fremantle-headquartered fashion house Morrison is set to open its fourth concept store at Perth's prestigious Garden City. Set for a May 12 opening date, the new store boasts a fit out - designed by award winning architect Craig Steere - that purports to echo Morrison's signature relaxed sophistication style. Featuring warm polished cement render wrapping into floor and ceiling, black timber floors, stylised curved racks, and elegant Geoffrey Mance lighting. NATIONAL: International charity organisation The Red Cross has released a range of apparel, to help generate funds for its fight against human suffering. The range, dubbed Humanity, includes short-sleeved and long-sleeved T-shirts and a canvas backpack. Available exclusively online, the range has price points of between $35 and $45. MELBOURNE: The Australian Sporting Goods Association (AGSA) has announced plans to host industry forum "Driving Industry Growth Beyond 2010" on May 22 at renowned sporting venue Melbourne Cricket Ground. Keynote speakers will include Stephen Kulmar, CEO of retail marketing specialist IdeaWorks; Mark Textor, managing director of polling and campaign strategy company Crosby Textor; Nick Maywald, CEO of business information specialist Sporting Pulse; and David Parkin, VFL/AFL coach and professional football player. The forum will also feature panel discussions on issues in the sporting goods industry, as well as two new annual ASGA Industry Awards for "Product Innovation of the Year" and "Retail Professional Development Program of the Year". AFC meeting
SYDNEY: Industry body The Australian Fashion Council will shortly host a seminar focusing specifically on industrial relations issues for Australian fashion designers. The seminar, which will cover rules relating to outworkers and registration of factories, follows the council's work with the Office of Workplace Services to reach a common understanding on the rules relating to outworkers under the Clothing Trades Award.
