A fashionable GALA
There was every reason to celebrate at St George TAFE's recent GALA exhibition in Sydney. As the first wave of fashion graduate's bid the institute goodbye, friends and guests were invited to view their final-year clothing collections. It was up-and-coming designer Jennifer Stannard who ultimately stole the show with her cheeky range of two-piece cossies.
Ed Hardy cuts a dashing figure
Last month saw edgy fashion label Ed Hardy literally stopping traffic as it closed Chapel street for a full blown store launch party on December 12. A charitable heart
Melbourne school of fashion students were among those doing their bit for the fight against Aids after they helped design a range of condom clothing creations. Having teamed with charity group Marie Stopes International, the students innovative creations included a gold and glittery fairy outfit with condom wings and a white nurses outfit with a tutu style skirt. The outfits will remain on display in the foyer of the college until next month.

No tarty affair
From the word go, Maureen Li had it all in the bag - so to speak. Launching her latest collection of his and her bags, dubbed Bagtart, in Melbourne recently, the young Australian designer managed to draw in celebrities and models by the limousine load. Staged at Ocean blue, the evening was capped off with a spectacular runway show, litres of champagne and some canapes to boot.
