Australian surfwear company Mambo has extended its offering for Spring Summer 2007.
The brand infamous for its iconic street artistry is set to launch its first range of men's and women's footwear next month.
Now boasting a range of apparel, accessory and footwear lines for both the adult and kidswear markets, the label - owned and operated by Australian fashion giant Gazal - has reportedly entertained expansion plans for some time. Gazal spokesperson Tara Williams said the latest offering would help to prop Mambo's already burgeoning portfolio.
"Mambo footwear is a natural progression from our current surf lifestyle offering which includes a range of men's, women's and kid's apparel and accessories. The styles of footwear compliment our existing range and cater to the laid-back lifestyle that Australia offers."
Created by Mambo menswear designers "Oli" and "Benni", the new footwear collection is dominated by pastel colours with bright overlaying prints and graphics. The men's range features skimmers, laceles lowtops and bright thongs with classic Mambo art details. Priced at $80 for slip-ons and low tops, the thongs retail for $25 with graphics or $20 without.
Also featuring a mix of pastel hues and bright graphics, the women's collection includes skimmers, laceless lowtops and bright thongs with prices ranging from $20 to $80. Largely using canvas "sourced from the smoky depths of our art room floor" and rubber, both lines are targeted at the adult and teenage market
The footwear collection will be available from David Jones and Mambo concept stores from November.
