Shoe shoppers look out for A Pair
Licensed in Australia by Danish national Benedicte Olrik and her Australian partner Bruce Williamson, the first A Pair store will open on September 9, to be followed by a flagship store in Melbourne fashion strip Chapel Street.
Subsequent openings in Sydney are scheduled for early 2007.
The A Pair women and menswear label hails from Copenhagen, Denmark, where the flagship store was voted one of Europe's top 14 fashion retailers by Italian Vogue in recent months.
Designed by Danish team Lise Hjort and Tanja Nielsen in Scandinavia, the brand features a range of high end fashion footwear and accessories, with the current offering ranging from cowboy boots to midnight blue diamante studded peep toes, aviator sunglasses and leather messenger bags.
A Pair footwear and leather bags would form the core of the stores' offering, supplemented by exclusive boutique Italian fashion brands Barracuda, Buttero, Cesare Paciotti, Debut, LeSilla, Rocco P, Shy, Gianni Barbato and Belgian label Bikkemberg.
A Pair stores will also stock a range of apparel and accessories - many of them on an exclusive basis - including leather jackets from French designer Isaac Sellam, jeans from US brand True Religion and selected apparel from Australian label Camilla and Marc.
