Little Lady set to shake youth market
Already claiming success in both the women's and childrenswear sectors - with One Teaspoon and The Destoyers- the Sydney-based fashion group is now geared for the launch of 'Little Lady From'. Scheduled for an early October release, the new label is aimed at retailers who provide "trend-driven, priced pointed fashion for younger consumers". Marketing Manager Julia Ashwood said the release will play a key role in repositioning the booming One Teaspoon line.
"A lot of surf retailers were approaching us to stock One Teaspoon in their stores yet we felt as though we would rather continue pushing this brand in a more fashion boutique direction. This gap then needed to be filled and Little Lady From is perfect for these accounts."
Priced from $39.95 to $110, the spring/summer collection includes dresses, camisoles, pinafores, playsuits and features cottons, terry towelling and viscose rayon. Aimed at girls between twelve and eighteen years of age, Ashwood said the brand will bolster the company's current portfolio of labels.
"Little Lady From is a trend-driven range. Unlike One Teaspoon, the designer Jamie Blakey will be taking more consideration of trend forecasting and celebrity styling when she develops this range for a younger audience."
"Each season Little Lady From comes 'from' somewhere. This season she is from Oahu, Hawaii and prints used in the range are fresh and cute, including love hearts, troAlthough The Pink Factory is currently focused on pushing the brand's autumn/winter 07 collection, Ashwood confirmed that it is also exploring new business opportunities.
"That's very exciting for us. Each brand is growing organically and we are so happy to receive great support in the marketplace. Our new slogan is- The Pink Factory; a place where brands are born and shit gets done."
Little Lady From will be stocked throughout Myer and surf retailers SDS and Jetty Surf from October.
