Sass and Bide gets fresh new look
Now the co-founders of womenswear brand Sass and Bide are set to do the opposite with their branding. In a bid to distinguish its denimwear line from its complete seasonal collections, the company will revamp its coloured swing tags and garment labels next year.
Clarke said the move was prompted by the brand's expediential growth since its formation in 1999.
"Over the past seven years our design aesthetic has evolved. As a consequence we felt the time was right to separate the denim from the fashion. Both collections are stand alone ranges that are design led."
From January 2007, all seasonal fashion collections - which are showcased biannually at New York Fashion Week - will have a new cream and pink colour scheme while the denimwear line will retain its current blue and pink branding.
Clare also confirmed that as the Autumn 2007 collection 'From Here To Arcadia' is released simultaneously across the northern and southern hemispheres, the rebranding will be global.
Also looking to ramp up its presence within the national market, the company's marketing manager Nelly Phelan said Sass and Bide would focus its energies on building exposure and clients in Australia over the next six months. As part of the drive, Clarke and Middleton will formally launch their denimwear collection in November and a host a Brisbane boutique opening in March 2007.
"The local market is always of the utmost importance to us and with the launch of our new denimwear collection, ensuring the range is launched in the home market before any other market is our priority.
"The girls have also always wanted to open a boutique in their home town of Brisbane so that has also been a priority for them and achieving that goal is a personal achievement."
