What's selling in Morley, WA
It is noted as the largest commercial district outside of Perth and Fremantle and further retail growth is expected.
The City of Bayswater economic development officer Piero Fazio says Morley City has an eclectic mix of stores catering to a multitude of tastes.
"There's a large variety of stores in the area which is a drawcard," says Fazio.
"Morley City is also a pedestrian-friendly town. There is a lot of soft infrastructure in place, which adds to the vibrancy of the town. [Selling points] include streetscape greenery and water features."
Fazio also says the city's main shopping precinct, Centro Galleria, is a huge attraction.
Centro Galleria is situated on the corner of Collier and Walter Road and houses more than 220 specialty retail stores. It is a two-level shopping complex which attracts an estimated 9.2 million customers each year and has an annual turnover of $325.9 million. The centre holds many major retailers including Myer, Kmart, Target, Coles, Woolworths and Greater Union. With more than 70 fashion stores including clothing, accessories, jewellery and footwear, Centro Galleria is a prominent fashion hotspot just outside of Perth.
"There are also some exciting new developments in the Hayden Marchetto, marketing manager of Live Clothing, says Morley is a prominent shopping destination.
"Morley is a thriving area with a great multicultural mix. It attracts people from all around the district and is within close proximity to Perth."
Live Clothing is located in Centro Galleria and stocks upmarket apparel for men and women aged between 16 and 28. Top selling brands include Seduce, Gripp, Lee and Industrie. Accessories such as belts, bags and jewellery are also available.
