Doppio delights
French champagne and beautiful clothing helped occupy the minds of the 70-strong crowd who turned up to celebrate the official opening of Nuovo Uno's Doppio store opening in Mosman recently. The launch showcased the womenswear store's new autumn collection from its largely European labels including Fenn Wright Manson, East, Nougat and Naughty.
Buddhist Punk rocks
The much-anticipated Buddhist punk party, held in honour of the rock legends the Rolling Stones, saw a crowd of several hundred boogy the night away at popular Sydney nightspot Ruby Rabbit's recently. Graced by none other than the band's aging lead singer Mick Jagger and "A-list" designers Terry Biviano and Wayne Cooper, the party celebrated the close relationship the label and band share Buddhist Punk signed an exclusive merchandising deal with the band in 2002.
Frilly filly
Popular frock designer Leona Edmiston joined department store chain Westfield to treat around 150 or so guests to the Derby Day races on Easter Saturday. The day got off to an early start when invited guests - among them an odd assortment of television celebrities, media and fashionista-types - were treated to a special brunch in Westfield Bondi Junction's (WBJ) Bar Pacifica before being transported to the Leona marquee at Sydney's Randwick racecourse. The day's activities concluded in the wee hours during a special after party staged at WBJ's Ruby Lounge.
