The past few weeks have seen style icon and princess Mary Donaldson lambasted for spending too much on clothes and shoes. Trash mags had the knives out for Tassie's dream girl, featuring myriad close-ups complete with accusatory arrows pointing out the offending outfits and footwear. Apart from the fact our Mary is clearly indulging herself to make up for Fred's long absences while playing with his yacht, I can't help feeling that the poor woman can't win. Princesses are supposed to wear different shoes every day... aren't they? I'm sure there are other things in their job description but they escape me at the moment.
