Incubator hatched

The Melbourne Fashion Incubator opened the doors of its slick and spacious new premises last month - located on level 2 of the Melbourne Central shopping centre - with an impressive soirée. Models dressed in Incubator designers' latest creations sashayed through the crowds, while guests indulged in assorted drinks and nibbles. The night included speeches from Incubator CEO Cindee Smith and designer Ryan Whelan, as well as a film doco projection on the story and philosophy of the organisation.

Local designer and tailor Ryan Whelan - who celebrated his birthday on the night - thanked the Incubator for getting him started.
