Grecian treasures settle down under
Australian jewellery designer Pauline Zois has launched her first semi-precious gem label, Omorphia Design. After spending the past decade in the national jewellery trade, including a role as assistant designer for Percy Marks Jewellers and Jan Logan Jewellers in Sydney, Zois said she looked forward to injecting the market with her unique creations.
"Omorphia Design is a seamless illustration of contemporary Australian art that crosses into cutting edge fashion. The range is created to identify an exclusive range of jewellery that says 'I am confident, self-assured and happy with my own fashion'. Women feel empowered wearing this jewellery."
Inspired by the exotic, Zois has split her collection into five lines: rock, earth, space, screen, and Grecian beauty. Priced from $150 to $350, the range includes necklaces, earrings and bracelets made from semi-precious gems, sterling silver and gold. Zois said that her choice of materials and designs reflect personal experiences.
"The name of my label and my designs are a greater influence of my heritage where I was surrounded by the elements of nature. Omorphia is the epitome of what jewellery adornment is all about and its design allows and complements those it adorns."
