Perth-based footwear brand Zomp is preparing to launch its largest retail outlet to date, boosting its store network with a second boutique in Brisbane.
The new store, located on Elizabeth Street in the CBD, will span 280m2 in size, and will bump Zomp’s national retail presence to nine stores across four states – New South Wales, Western Australia, Queensland and Melbourne.
Zomp general manager Mark Smith said product in the Elizabeth Street store will be, “reflective of the offer in all Zomp stores. However, as Elizabeth St will be the largest of all stores, it will have an ever-increasing range and offer.”
Smith described the store concept for Zomp’s latest retail addition as “New York loft”, and said the store’s success would be essential to building the Zomp presence and brand ahead of further developments.
These include a string of design collaborations expected to come to fruition within the next 12 months, as well as intensive market research for the brand, which will set the tone for any future initiatives, according to Smith.
“We are currently undertaking the largest ever market research project we have ever done, [and] the results of this research will drive our next initiatives,” he said.
