Worldly distributor secures win
The footwear arm of compression garment company Skins has entered into a new distribution partnership with Sydney company World Brands Management (WBM) for distribution of the Skins autumn/winter 2009 product line.
The agreement may be extended to include a limited release for the spring/summer 2009 season. WBM was the exclusive distributor for Australia and New Zealand for the GBMI licensed brands Diesel, Pony, Nautica, and XOXO from 2000 to 2008 and has won 10 awards as the best distributor in Australia and New Zealand for customer excellence and sales per head of population.
WBM head Greg Curson said the company has "always been excited" about the Skins Footwear technology and had closely watched the brand over the past two years as it further commercialised its product.
"We are thrilled to be part of the Skins global launch and believe their intuitive technology will be warmly accepted by consumers in Australia and New Zealand."
Skins president Mark Klein said the agreement marked the first of what was likely to be a number of international partnerships the company would undertake in 2009.
