NATIONAL: Peak industry body the Council of Textile and Fashion Industries of Australia (TFIA) will stage a series of workshops aimed at showing apparel businesses how to trade through the global financial crisis.
The half-day workshops, to be staged in Sydney and Melbourne, will also offer a comprehensive breakdown of the various grants available to small to medium sized enterprises through the federal government and how to access them.
TFIA head Jo Kellock said topics covered include the TCF Small Business Grant, the yet-to-be introduced TCF Strategic Capability Program and the TCF Structural Adjustment Program.
The first course will be held in Sydney on May 26 and will be specifically targeted at CEOs. The same program will be repeated in Melbourne on June 25. A separate workshop aimed at designers will take place June 09.
