Many retailers interviewed by Ragtrader are reporting a peak in strapless and convertible bra sales in the lead-up to summer. Both styles are popular because they co-ordinate easily with summer fashions.
Beige is the highest selling colour because of its universal appeal, followed closely by pink, watermelon, lime and chocolate.
Ninety per-cent of retailers offer a professional bra fitting service; Roz Ralston, owner of lingerie boutique Femmeline, says finding the right bra is important for women and they often need help when choosing the correct one.
"People will come to us after having experienced difficulties and discomfort from ill fitting bras because they want specialised help with fittings."
