Women's fashion accessories
Bohemian-style jewellery is amongst the top selling fashion accessories for independent boutiques according to Ragtrader's survey.
Many retailers reported strong interest in the latest must-have bohemian inspired fashions, with consumers splurging on accessories, such as chunky beaded necklaces, to compliment in-store apparel.
Recently released accessory collections from popular surf and swimwear labels including Billabong, Roxy and Seafolly are also said to be selling strongly.
Approximately 78 per cent of businesses reported stronger sales in the accessories market than last year.
Scott Connolly from Attitude Zone in Victoria says "due to incremental winter weather we've been able to increase our sales by increasing our accessories range."
