SYDNEY: Esmod Australia's demise has proven good news for the burgeoning number of students attending Whitehouse Institute of Design.
The Sydney branch of Whitehouse is relocating from its current Liverpool Street campus in Sydney's CBD to the building formerly occupied by Esmod Australia. The building is a purpose-built design school on Short Street in Sydney's creative hub, Surry Hills.
The move has been prompted by the college's growing student body. Classes at the new campus will commence on August 9 while the Institute will celebrate its offical opening on November 22 at the Whitehouse graduate exhibition and parade.
The relocation is the second growth indicator for Whitehouse in recent years after the Institute opened its Melbourne campus in 2007. Whitehouse confirmed it plans to expand into other Australian capital cities in the future.
Whitehouse Institute of Design runs tertiary courses on fashion design, interior design and styling and creative direction. The institute currently has over 500 students across Sydney and Melbourne.
