NATIONAL: Queensland resortswear label White Sands is now another step closer to realising its American dream.
As reported in the June 19 issue of Ragtrader magazine, White Sands was the only scheduled Australian label to show at this year's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami (July 15 to 19).
Now head designer Leah Madden confirmed the brand's 'Florescence' had been selected to feature in a show from US apparel giant Victoria's Secret.
Madden had also lined up a major department store showing as part of her American assault next month, despite having no current stockists in the market.
"We have already had lots of interest," she confirmed, adding White Sands would also show at Miami trade fair Swim Show from July 18 to 21.
White Sands spring/summer 2009/10 range was priced from $129 to $469 and would make its first drop to Australian department store David Jones in September.
