I have just read in the September 23 edition of Ragtrader about the "Global First" by aussieBums. Unfortunately, they are not the first, as your article claims, to make wool undies.
We have been producing and selling WUNDIESTM (woolundies) in Australia since 1998 and we are not the first or the only company making merino wool underwear. There are approximately four other companies that I know of making men's boxer shorts and one other that I know of who have made women's underwear.
Merino Country has developed our own merino jersey fabric for performance, durability and comfort - MICRON KNITTM, which we use in all our underwear.
Charles Parsons would also know of this as I had numerous discussions with them and trialled their fabric on our products some time ago - their people also have spent much time in my showroom inspecting my products. It makes you wonder doesn't it.
We are only a small company and don't have the backing of a Charles Parson but we are successful and have specialised in Australian Merino Wool products for the past 11 years.
