SYDNEY: Cue looks set to be the biggest beneficiary of a major CBD shopping drive this evening, with six retail sites positioned across the grid.

The fashion group is among a reported 450 retailers signed on to take part in the inaugural Vogue Fashion's Night Out event in Sydney. An additional 55 Australian designers are also set to join in on the consumer initiative, which kicks off at 5:30pm in Martin Place before spreading across the CBD grid with in-store events, fashion parades, celebrity appearances, pop-up sites, Jaguar car-boot sales and other activations.

As reported in a trade preview by Ragtrader last month, the global event will finally head to Sydney this year after Vogue Australia's 50th Anniversary celebrations delayed the kick off last year. The evening is aimed at driving foot traffic and sales across participating retailers and fashion brands.

Cue Clothing Company has six participating retail sites in the CBD grid, including its Cue stores at the Queen Victoria Building, Sydney Central Plaza and Wynyard, along with a concession space in department store Myer. Sister brand Veronika Maine will also be taking part, with its site in George Street and concession at department store David Jones.

Marketing manager Kirsty Brockhoff said a number of activations will take place across both brands. Cue consumers can go in the draw to win a $2,500 wardrobe style session with Vogue fashion editor Meg Gray and Cue head designer Prue Rainey; while Vogue fashion director Naomi Smith will offer a trend session for Veronika Maine consumers from 7.30pm.

Vogue Fashion's Night Out will close with an official party at nightspot Ivy from 9pm.
