Vintage look collection new on Australian turf

Wholesale distribution company International Fashion Group has secured the exclusive Australian and New Zealand distribution for French label Fine Collection.

The label, which will launch in time for winter 2010, features silk cashmere, modal cashmere, linen and 100 per cent cotton fabrics in a classic colour palette of soft grey, beige, navy, black and white.

Designed by Ugo Bensoussan, the second ever season for the brand includes cardigans, oversized dresses with pockets, long sleeve tops, T-shirts, singlets, vests and scarves. A vintage inspired ‘worn’ look is incorporated into some styles. Retail prices range from around $66 to $150.

International Fashion Group national sales manager Joseph Borchan said the label had already been picked up by 25 Australian boutiques. He believed its appeal was in the lightweight construction of the fabrics, which are suitable for the Australian climate.

“They are beautiful to touch and beautiful to wear, working back well with casual denim,” he said. Fine Collection joins International Fashion Group’s other brands including True Religion jeans, Paige Premium Denim, Earnest Sewn and Brent Wilson.
