SYDNEY: Japanese-inspired green retail store Via Alley appears to have risen from the dead.
After closing the doors on its Darlinghurst store at the end of 2008, the Sydney-based brand has returned triumph opening two new outlets in as many months.
The first opened at Sydney retail site TGV (The Galleries Victoria) while the second, the label's first flagship, will open in the new Room 4 complex in Surry Hills tomorrow (Wednesday May 27).
Founded by Ben Hsu and Jane Lo, the brand was inspired by a chance visit to the Tokyo Design Block and features a range of Japanese fashion labels - including Cosmic Wonder, 20,000,000 fragments, Mikio Sakabe and TO&CO - together with a range of jewellery, art books and magazines.
Both stores were designed by Sydney-based architecture graduate Lenny Wong with the flagship retail space boasting a specially designed living installation.
