Maxi dresses. I can't get enough of them.

Ankle straps on heels. Unless you have legs like Gisele, they do not flatter anyone.
THE NATION'S FASHION CAPITAL IS
I don't think we really have one fashion capital in Australia because so many cities represent different things to different people. People in Melbourne have a fantastic sense of style which is very chic and European. People in Sydney tend to be a bit more edgy and adventurous. While these styles are both great, they wouldn't suit people on the Gold Coast for example, where the beach culture still reigns supreme. There isn't a lot of need for wool coats on the beach.
MY BIGGEST SPLURGE WAS
A magenta Lariat bag by Balenciaga.

It sure gives it a good go.

It would have to be Target. You can get some great pieces from there which will see you through a lot more occasions than one piece from Tom Ford.
WHAT THIS INDUSTRY NEEDS IS
A boost from the economy. Like every other industry, fashion is taking a hit at the moment and it would be great to see it come alive again, particularly to help the young up and coming designers.
