Trixan Body, owned by Australian entrepreneur David Brown, currently stocks approximately 40,000 products from 100 brands, including Pleasure State, Seafolly, Jets Swimwear, Bonds, Calvin Klein, Berlei, Triumph and Elle Macpherson Intimates.
The revamped pricing structure, launched this month, will allow the e-tailer to offer everyday lower pricing of up to 20 per cent less than the RRP and in-store on a range of these core brands and popular collections, which will also include fashion clothing, shoes and accessories for the summer 2011/12 season.
Brown said the new pricing arrangement was made possible due to the ongoing sales success of Trixan Body since its initial launch in 2009.
“Trixan Body launched with a swimwear and underwear range in Australia in 2009 and the website has since expanded. We are always looking at ways of adding compelling value for customers and we are able to introduce this now as we have reached a critical mass [in customer volume and orders processed daily] that enables us to pass on some savings,” he said.
“We’re growing at 200-300 per cent year-on-year, so we’re also always gearing for growth and we’re now also actively pushing for further growth by expanding into new categories.”
The site, which took two years to develop, currently delivers four major drops of fresh stock per year from a range of brands, but Brown said the frequency will be updated once the summer fashion lines are introduced.
Brown also said that although Trixan Body currently services Australia, the UK and the USA, the company is gearing up for international expansion, with plans to “extend into new markets next year” and Europe and New Zealand are the most likely targets.
