MELBOURNE: Tony Bianco continues to build its retail portfolio, opening its first flagship store on Melbourne's historic Chapel Street.

The new Prahran site brings Tony Bianco's store tally to 15, with nine stores centred in the company's home state of Victoria. The family-owned business also wholesales to retailers including Myer, David Jones, Joanne Mercer and Wanted.

The Chapel Street Tony Bianco store was designed by architects Herbert & Mason and measures 110 square metres. The store will showcase the label's women's shoes, bags and accessories.

Tony Bianco also acquired two additional retail sites in the wake of the collapse earlier this year of Figgins Holdings. The sites are currently still operating under Figgins' former Scooter brand.

Tony Bianco spokesperson Simone Marshall recently told Ragtrader the two Scooter stores - located in Melbourne Central and Highpoint - will be transformed into Tony Bianco retail outlets “sometime down the track”.

“Both locations have great traffic flow and are ideal for the brand to continue its expansion,” Marshall said.

Tony Bianco was launched in 1972 and is operated by Anthony and Adam Bianco.
