The brand, which already operates one store in Brisbane, will enter the Sydney market in February 2012 via a retail space at an as yet undisclosed location.

Co-founder Gabrielle Thompson said the Sydney outlet would allow the label to increase brand awareness ahead of further expansion interstate.

“We’d eventually love to also launch a store in Melbourne and possibly Perth, however this is more like a five-year plan goal,” she said.

“However, the greater brand awareness that we have experienced due to having the store in Brisbane has been amazing and we are looking to grow this further through launching in Sydney. We see this as a key way to grow our business and brand.”

Thompson said the Sydney store will also allow the label to showcase a greater range of products than currently possible in the Brisbane outlet. This includes a new line of bags, expected to launch by December this year.

The collection will debut via a small collection of three styles crafted from Italian leathers to match the autumn/winter 2012 shoe range. Key colours include black, gold, fuschia calf, mustard kid suede and spotted ponyskin. Product will retail from $200 to $400.

Thompson also confirmed she and co-founder Shannon Gunn are also working towards a second design collaboration with iconic designer Gary Bigeni based on the success of their first partnership.

“We are discussing a collaboration for his next SS12/13. Delivery will be August 2012 and we will design one or two styles to complement his collection. This will then be featured in his look book and catwalk show at Australian Fashion Week,” she said.
