MELBOURNE: Melbourne authorities are on the hunt for thieves who stole cash from a lingerie retailer before setting it alight.
Police believed the store, Forbes Lingerie in Carrum Downs, was broken into around 12.20 am yesterday, with thieves seizing a quantity of cash and torching it before they fled.
It was understood fire crews were alerted to the scene and quickly extinguished the blaze. Only minor damage was caused the front entrance of the store.
The store stocked a range of Forbes Lingerie branded garments, along with a selection of offerings from Crystelle, Kookai, Lovable and Triumph.
