Jamming with Kiwis
Auckland-based fashion brand Stolen Girlfriends Club promoted its new jewellery line with a special gathering at Tom Gunne Gallery in Sydney. Guests took in a short film shot by Kiwi creative Derek Henderson, featuring pieces from the brand’s new Heavy Metal accessory line. Wine served in jam jars kept the mood decidedly kooky. All aboard
Wine brand Tempus Two recently celebrated five years of collaboration with kaftan designer Camilla Franks. The brand hosted an exclusive event aboard luxury super-yacht Flying Fish at Sydney Harbour, with a selection of fine wines and catering by George Francisco of Jonah’s restaurant. Pictured here is Franks surrounded by models in her designs.
Gods on earth
Australian swimwear label Daughter Of The Gods unveiled its latest swimwear collection by harking back to the past. Sydney nightspot Hugos Lounge was transformed into a 1920s saloon with live jazz by The Jo Fabro Group and vintage-inspired martinis by liqueur brand Cointreau.
Fashion with art
A host of leading fashion designers were on hand for the launch of a youthful initiative by the Museum of Contemporary Art. The ‘Young Ambassadors’ program aims to involve professionals aged 18 to 40 years in the Sydney art scene, with exclusive exhibition openings and private viewings and studio visits. A cocktail party celebrating the launch saw some familiar industry faces take to the museum, including designers Camilla Freeman-Topper and Bianca Spender (pictured far right with MCA director Elizabeth Ann Macgregor, centre, and architect Nick Tobias, left).
