Student support The Social Studio in Melbourne was recently declared Small Business of the Year at the 2010 Victorian Training Awards. It received a $10,000 prize for its efforts to train and employ young Australians with a refugee background. Students are taught fashion design, production and retailing. Good morning Melbourne The designer duo behind menswear label Vanguard, Jono and Sam Cottee, made their way from Brisbane to Melbourne to launch their spring/summer 2010/11 collection, ‘Good Morning Rucksack Wanderers’. The two brothers, pictured left, welcomed South Melbourne’s fashion pack to view their range inspired by the idea of being ‘cash poor, life rich’.
