A fashionable ode Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (August 30 – September 5) ambassador DJ Ruby Rose was on hand for a pop-up soiree staged by denim label Pepe Jeans London. Held at the Cherry Bar in Melbourne, the event showcased the latest trends and collections under the theme ‘Ode to Denim’. She is pictured here with special guest DJ Poet.
Designs for Diva Alex Perry heralded the release of the first of four ranges he is designing for accessories chain Diva with a launch party in Sydney’s Rushcutters Bay. The eveningwear designer, pictured here with the Diva team, created a collection of cocktail rings, chandelier earrings, feminine corsages, headbands and bangles which retail from $9.99. The remaining three Alex Perry for Diva collections will roll out in 2011.
Limedrop on top Accessories design duo Clea Garrick and Nathan Price took home the top prize at this month’s Chambord Shine Awards. The annual awards, which aim to showcase and recognise upcoming Australian design talent, was hosted at Sydney’s Strand Arcade, with Garrick and Price’s Limedrop label winning out over brands including Subfusco, George Wu, Talulah, Anna Campbell and Lulu in Chains. Rare Ray-Bans Ray-Ban has joined forces with 50 venues across Australia for the launch of the Ray-Ban Rare Places campaign. Using digital and social media platforms, the campaign connects Ray-Ban customers with the brand’s pick of bars, restaurants, record and fashion stores. Ben Henderson from digital agency Mentally Friendly and Samantha de Kauwe from Ray-Ban’s parent company, Luxottica Group, launched the campaign at Fei Jai restaurant in Sydney.
