SYDNEY: Leading designer brands Alex Perry, Aurelio Costarella, Samantha Wills and Henry Roth are just some of the industry names lending their support to a fundraising event for Queensland flood victims.
The designers will donate products and/or services as part of an event being organised by celebrity stylist and menswear designer Donny Galella.While still in its early development stages, the fundraising effort looks set to be staged on January 25, with several Sydney inner-city venues and hotels currently under consideration.
Designers represented by RAW fashion agency have also offered donations for raffles and prizes, as well as jewellery brands Dejoie and Zoemou. Fashion PR guru Sara Bray has thrown in her support to round up additional sponsors for the event, with all proceeds going to Queensland's flood relief efforts.

UPDATE: High-profile fashion event firm Lara Inc has also announced a fundraising drive for Queensland flood victims. Dubbed 'FashionAid', the concept is calling for designers to donate items of clothing, shoes and accessories to be listed as part of an Australian designer auction on Ebay.
All proceeds will be donated to the Queensland relief effort, with unsold items to be sent directly to flood victims. For more: lara@larainc.com.au.
