BRISBANE: Subfusco has launched a series of T-shirts in collaboration with a local artist as part of its new strategy to foster creative working relationships.

Subfusco director Joshua Scacheri commissioned artist Matt Stewart to create around ten prints to put on unisex T-shirts for the label. Scacheri said Stewart was encouraged to create whatever images he chose, with the results featuring strong and structured shapes mixed with abstract designs.

The range will be sold in Subfusco's Brisbane store and online. More styles will be introduced according to demand, priced at $99 per T-shirt.

Subfusco recently collaborated with Melbourne jewellery label Drown on a range of summer pieces. Scacheri said he is on the hunt for a footwear brand to work on the next collection. He hopes to continue working with other artists to build a stronger creative community in Brisbane.

Subfusco has been involved in a number of fashion events including Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz Brisbane Fashion Festival and Melbourne Spring Fashion Week.

In addition to its own retail store the brand has an e-commerce arm and around six stockists nationally.
