SYDNEY: In its attempt to make room for more stock high-end shirt manufacturer Edward Stripe is looking to shift a range of men's shirts at distressed stock prices. In all, the brand - which has a retail outlet in Five Ways, Paddington - aims to move 1500 of its button-down shirts within the next few weeks. :Hawkes eyes title
SYDNEY: UTS fashion and textile design student Kylie Hawkes is $5000 richer after taking out the Australian Business Limited State Chamber Textile Clothing Footwear and Leather Award. For her efforts, Kylie was awarded $5000 cash and $5000 worth of in-kind support on establishing and running a successful business.
DJs reshuffles
SYDNEY: David Jones has undertaken a minor reshuffle of its management team appointing marketing head Damian Eales into the new role of GM of financial services and marketing. Responsibility for the operations portfolio formerly managed by Eales will now be controlled by the group's stores and visual merchandising general manager, Paul Zahra, who will look after supply chain and procurement. The change was implemented on April 1.

SYDNEY: The design group behind the Bettina Liano stores, BKK Architects, has been short listed in the retail division of the 2006 Interior Design Awards. The designers will compete against CMID, Roxby Architects, NH Architecture and Exponential Design for the title. Award winners will be named at a gala dinner in Sydney's Hilton Hotel tonight (April 7).
:Lovable Hawkins
SYDNEY: Lingerie label Lovable has signed former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins as the new face of the brand. Hawkins is the latest in a line of well known faces to flog the label with Samuel Johnson, Pania Rose and Lisa Cazzulino all taking stints fronting the brand. Hawkins, also a television presenter on Network Seven's The Great Outdoors, will feature in the new Lovable advertising campaign expected to launch later this month across Australia and New Zealand.

SYDNEY: US-based footwear brand Converse is set to launch a new range of football-fused sneakers. The limited edition unisex range will available in the brand's Chuck Taylors or All-Star Hi-tops styles and is decorated in the colours of competing countries in the 2006 Football World Cup, complete with flag. Stocked in Insport, MSD & Sports Junction/Sports Fusion stores, the range, to be released in Australia in June, will be priced at $90 and available in sizes 5 through to 12.
