Strandbags makes Escape to Paradise

 

Emerging accessories designer Sacha Alagich has scored the biggest break of her career, securing distribution with one of the largest specialty retailers in Australia.

Alagich has locked in an open-ended distribution agreement with the Strandbags Group, a privately owned corporation with over 350 stores across Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East. Her ‘Escape to Paradise’ brand will be distributed through Strandbag branded stores from spring/summer 2010, with a total of 600 limited edition creations released in selected sites throughout Australia and New Zealand.

The range consists of three ‘honolulu’ print clutches in colourways of blue, beige and black. Priced from $29.99 to $39.99, the purses feature a leather wrist strap, card holders and can be used as a make-up purse, camera case, iPod bag or pencil case.

Alagich revealed her relationship with Strandbags began when she approached head buyer Stephanie Kelly as a business mentor.

“It is always good to get advice from someone who is so experienced and knowledgeable but as it turns out, her team was so impressed with the range that they decided to place an order for this summer,” Alagich said.

The designer is also a client of industry consultancy firm f.rock fashion Distribution.
