SYDNEY: Gail Elliott, Lisa Ho and Joe Farage are among the designers who will lunch with customers as part of a campaign to drive spring/summer sales.
The three creatives, along with Manning Cartell designers Cheryl, Vanessa and Gabrielle Manning, will each host a three course lunch and fashion show as part of the Fashion Fantasy Designer Luncheon Series.
Organised by Sydney retail destination the Strand Arcade in association with Pendolino restaurant, the series kicked off this week when Little Joe Woman designer Gail Elliott dined and mingled with customers.
“We’ve had a store in The Strand for the past three years and are always open to participating in marketing initiatives like this which help to raise awareness of our retail presence there,” Elliott explained.
“It’s important to support our brand at the retail level and this sort of event provides a great opportunity to connect direct with our consumer which is essential for success.
"We hope that the event will help to drive sales for the Little Joe Woman store at The Strand, and for the brand in general actually.”
The next event in the Fashion Fantasy Designer Luncheon Series will be on August 24 and hosted by Farage designer Joe Farage. The Manning Cartell designers will host a lunch on September 21, and Lisa Ho on October 19.
Strand Arcade marketing manager Kelly Berriman confirmed the event will continue next year.
“We’ve had an overwhelmingly positive response and have even locked in the first two designers for autumn/winter 2011,” Berriman said.
The Fashion Fantasy Designer Luncheon Series complements the Strand Arcade's other major consumer initiative for spring/summer, An Evening With Our Designers. To be hosted on September 1, the event involves runway shows, exclusive offers, VIP gift bags and the chance for consumers to meet fashion designers in their Strand Arcade boutiques.
