Last month saw the launch of Luxe Accessories summer collection, "Lettere D'Amore" - translation; "Love Letters" - making a direct hit with Melburnians, many of whom flocked to Mars Gallery for a sneak preview of the season's key looks. Guests got acquainted with classic clutches and totes in sun-kissed vintage leather and admired Luxe's neutral summer palette highlighted with citrus, salsa and corn flour blue, while lovesick admirers seeking more than a one night stand should head to Luxe's flagship store in the upper crust suburb of Brighton or any of Luxe's 50 independent stockists.

:Channel preppy chic
Lacoste creative director Christophe Lemaire jetted into Sydney to unveil his latest spring/summer collection for men and women. Launching the entire apparel line in Australia for the first time, Lemaire staged the spectacular at Pyrmont's Doltone House and set the tempo with vivid green lighting and apple martinis. Models eventually hit the green and white runway with crisp white polos, bright cable knit sweaters and tailored pants which paid homage to the brand's 70-year heritage.

:Off and running
The who's who of the New Zealand fashion scene donned their Sunday best to attend the official media launch of 2006 Air New Zealand Fashion Week recently. Staged among the elaborate surroundings of the Auckland Hilton Hotel, ANZFW managing director Pieter Stewart announced the lucky 59 designers to make the cut for this year's event.
