State of Georgia collapses

State of Georgia has been voluntarily wound up.

Director Georgia Hall appointed liquidator Gregory Stuart Andrews for the purposes of winding up the company late last month. Launched in 2004, Hall once described the womenswear label as combining “tender girlish charm and bohemian flair” with “rock ‘n’ roll edge”.

State Of Georgia retailed in select Myer department stores across Australia and independent boutiques such as Tuchuzy (NSW), Luella (Victoria) and LAX (SA). The brand was also available through a small selection of boutiques in the United Arab Emirates, Japan and New Zealand and worn by celebrities Paris Hilton, Christina Ricci and Natalie Bassingthwaite.
