The fast fashion chain was scheduled to launch its latest ‘Sportsgirls Like’ collection on October 31, followed by a select retail rollout on November 7. However, the retailer has now delayed both releases to November 14 due to deadline issues.

The range was created in partnership with rising star Miss Unkon, a womenswear brand which garnered strong buyer praise at Australian Fashion Week spring/summer 2011/12.

The Miss Unkon for Sportsgirl line will consist of eight styles in total, with a vintage floral print designed exclusively for Sportsgirl.
A selection of mini and maxi dresses, tops, shorts, and playsuits in key colours of black, white, and purple will also be available. Prices will range from $80  to $140.

Miss Unkon creative director Courtney Meyer said the collaboration came at a good time for the brand, which is enjoying success both domestically and internationally.

“This partnership with Sportsgirl is a wonderful way to introduce the Miss Unkon world to a greater audience of girls who may not as yet be familiar with the label,” she said.

“We have a lot of plans for the future expansion, both in terms of collaboration ranges and the international market.
“We just launched Miss Unkon in Japan which has been very well received, and we are stocked in the USA, so we want to grow further in both these markets..”

Sportsgirl Like collaborations include Ellery, Richard Nicoll and Antipodium.
